Malte caused quite a commotion when he at 16 months of age made his debut in the showring by winning the breed (Jouko Leiviskä, Finland), went on to win the group (Kerstin Nilsson, Denmark), and ended up as BIS-4 (Andrena Brunotte, Canada). During the two following years he was sparingly shown but still among Sweden's top few Standard poodles.

 He took everyone by storm.No one was left untouched. He was so full of  himself and had such presence in the show ring. Most people loved him. Never the less, he has proven his worth as a stud dog and has produced top poodles in America as well as Scandinavia and is today behind top winners all over the world. His impact as a sire has been phenomenal!

Malte was such a friendly and happy dog. He welcomed everybody, friends or strangers into our home, always wagging his tail. He helped raise all  our puppies, taught them what life is all about - playing, sleeping, eating and get patted.
 
What a remarkable poodle he has been. Healthy all his life, a wonderful family member and such a great ambassador for the breed.

In this picture Malte is captured moving to the top, winning his first KC BIS under world reknown judge Hans Lehtinen who wrote the following critique:

"A tall dog but a true poodle in every inch. Elegant, wonderful carriage with the most fantastic movement. Stands correctly on his feet. Wondeful attitude. So superior he simply laughed at the competetion "

He was always handled by his breeder Anders Rosell. 

He was an extraordinary dog. Will never forget him.

Mikael Nilsson, Kudos , wrote a book about Poodles one of the pictures is the one above Malte was pictured at Sofiero . What a dog he was ! Wild, loving, good looking, full of himself, kind, cuddly, happy, confident, full of silly tricks and  just wonderful! I had the pleasure to share over thirteen years with him together with his owner Anders Rosell, Avatar.
